A Dream Job Come True
By Sally Ormond of Briar Copywriting
We all grow up dreaming up our perfect jobs. In the early days I had visions of being a princess, actress or mother. As the years went by I became more and more confused about what it was that I wanted to be. Even up to the age of 30 I was pondering. I'd done jobs but that was all they were - they weren't exciting or fulfilling. Since my early teens I'd harboured a dream to be a writer - and one that got paid! In my early 30's I wrote and published a children's book which then fired my enthusiasm to write novels. Do date I have written 2 and a half but they remain unpublished. The world of publishing is a complex, frustrating and difficult animal and I soon realised that to become a published writer of novels would require luck as well as talent. Two years ago I fell into my current profession as a copywriter. Before I knew what was happening I was being paid to write! OK, it isn't exactly novels but I am finally being paid to do something I love. It just goes to show that you should never give up on your dreams. They may not turn out precisely as you'd envisaged but they can happen. |

Congratulations! First for figuring out what you want to do, and second for finding a job you like. I think many people would be envious. The Internet is packed with aspiring writers, but most of them do not have professional talent.
Your long "Enthusiam" to make your dreams come true, is a big contributing factor to your success. Keep up the great intel. Frederick
That was a cheery intel, indeed - and I visited your site. If the need ever arises for a copywriter, I shall bear it in mind.
